X (formerly Twitter) is currently experiencing a massive outage, with many users reporting longer than usual refresh times and page loading issues.
X users have reported these issues. Down Detector, a platform that tracks online outages for a number of websites, has seen a huge surge in reports from India. The bulk of the outage lasted for about an hour, but normal service appears to have resumed for many users.
X, which is usually the platform where users come to report other outages, is itself down, causing people to go to other platforms to complain about X. Since being acquired by billionaire Elon Musk and re-branding, X has not suffered many outages. The company has not yet commented on the outage.
Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) experienced an outage for the second time within a day, with over 40,000 reports of service disruption recorded as of March 10, 2025. Users globally, including the US, India, the UK, Australia, and Canada, reported problems accessing the platform on both the web and mobile apps.
Earlier in the day, X faced a similar outage at around 3:20 PM IST, with over 18,500 reports globally and over 2600 in India. The second outage follows a pattern of intermittent service failures.
X has not released any official statement about the cause of these outages. Users continue to report problems, although some areas have seen partial restoration of services.
